What is TfL?
TfL is a package of resources that enables deliverers of Learning and Development classroom based activities to plan programmes easily, quickly and at reasonable cost.
This sounds like learner-centred activity-based learning. So what is different about TfL?
TfL uses a wide range of learning strategies to help you maximise engagement with your participants.This includes the use of colour, sound, visual aids and hands on materials.
TfL also helps you:
- Integrate interpersonal soft skills development into your session
- ensure that learners build on their learning through using their own personal learning and development plan
What will I gain by attending a 1 day workshop?
You will gain an overview of the resources used and be able to plan learner centred programmes with ease using the TfL Learning Strategy template and Programme Planner. On the day you will practice using these resources with other delegates.
On completion of the workshop you will take away to keep and use:
- TfL Programme Planner
- TfL Workshop / Session planner
- TfL Personal Learning & Development Plan
- TfL Learning Strategy Template
What about follow up after I am back at base?
We will follow you up 4 - 6 weeks after attendance. This is partly to evaluate the course but also to encourage you to reflect on and record how to use the TfL resources in your work.
How much does a 1 day TfL Workshop cost?
£695 per delegate with discounts for CIPD members, group bookings and people from the voluntary and community sector. On-site fees for a 1 day workshop cost between £500 - £800 depending on the size and status of the organisation and number of participants.
Lower rates can be negotiated for not for profit, voluntary and community sector organisations. Discounts are always given to CIPD members.
We are providing our first 1 day workshop for £195. We donate between 1 - 2.5% of our profits to educational charities, including the British Dyslexia Association.
Our budget for learning and development is quite modest. How can I be sure that my investment in this package will pay off?
You are not just sending someone on a course - you are also receiving a tried and tested product. If the tools are used appropriately, it will guarantee that people attending your in-house learning programmes actively engage in learning, develop skills and put their learning into practice.
